Roatan Beaches
There are beautiful beaches just about everywhere on the island. The most well known are West End and West Bay. There you can spend the day along the shore, with places to lunch or grab a cocktail right there at the beach. If you’re looking for a little more privacy, Paya Bay is the most secluded, and the farthest beach from downtown. The white sands, warm tropical water, and gentle breezes on Roatan are a perfect setting for reading, sunning, or napping on your vacation.
Those up for a bit of exercise can rent a kayak and glide along the coast. The sea is calm, which makes paddling even a long distance quite enjoyable. The more active vacationer will appreciate water skiing, parasailing, and jet skiing, which are available at most beaches, especially in West Bay and at Fantasy Island.
