To travel from Utila to Roatan or Roatan to Utila you may now contact Denny Bush Sr. or Denny Bush Jr. at Bush’s Supermarket in Utila for private and / or scheduled trips back and forth from Utila to Roatan.

Roatan – Utila Charter costs at least $350, depends on how many people are going, usually $65 one way or $100 round trip.
boat leaves from bush’s dock at 7:30 but it can be moved if the group needs to. the boat ride takes from 45min to one hour depending on the weather, it arrives at west bay or west end (depending on where they want to get dropped off).
it leaves from Coconut Tree dock in Half Moon Bay at 1:30pm. you can charter it by calling Dennie directly or by  stopping by Bush’s supermarket.

Also note that the Captain Vern (Rest In Peace) Yacht / Sailboat trip between Roatan and Utila  is no longer running.

The FAIR WARNING ferry has been customized and tweaked for this task for over 2 years now and is finally ready to provide continuous and on demand ferry service to Roatan from Utila and back.

Designed to provide you with an organized day trip in Roatan it departs Utila at 7:00 AM and arrives in West End at 8:00 AM. The FAIR WARNING go fast boat will zoom by the Dolphins and maybe see a Whale Shark during its annual migration past Roatan and Utila. While in Roatan choose the arranged schedule of shopping, food and fun or arrangements can be made to go para-sailing, snorkeling and even submarine rides. At 9:30 AM the day trip in Roatan continues from West End Roatan to French Harbor where you arrive at 10:15 AM.

The arranged shopping experience in Roatan consist of a trip to Eldons (US Style Supermarket), ACE Hardware (exactly like any major US store), Bulk Gourmet (massive selection of wines & liquor as well as US food products), two of Roatan’s top Restaurants – GIO’s Seafood and Romanos Italian (both air conditioned) + HERBIES Sports Bar!

Get your shopping done, depart French Harbor between 2:00 and 3:00 PM you will arrive back at West End Roatan between 2:00 and 3:45 PM have some lunch and catch up with Expats, Tourist and Islanders at the sports bar then depart at 4:00 PM on to West End and arrive in Utila at 5:00 PM .

The cost, a measly 1,500 lempiras or $75 dollars round trip with a minimum of 4 to 6 people on board.
