..

I was born in the city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on September 5th, 1972. My grammar school was the prestigious Escuela Pablo Menzel and my high school was the Instituto La Salle in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. I presently am finishing up my university degree in Administrative Information (Informática Administrativa) in the Private Universidad of San Pedro Sula.

I am a self taught guitarrist who began learning when I was 10 years old and in 1985 I began to sing while strumming my guitar, to the delight of my school mates, and in various civic functions sponsored at that time by the student body.

In 1988 I won first prize in a musical festival created by the La Salle school. I sang an original song I created and also began to write songs in 1986.

My professional music career started in 1992, when I began to sing in night clubs, bars and musical clubs. In 1994 I performed my first solist concert, appearing as the warm up band in a concert that payed homage to the group "La Banda Blanca", that was the most well known Honduran band in the world at that time.

I released a demo in September, 1995 that contained nine original songs. My friend Pilo Tejeda, director and singer of La Banda Blanca, forwarded a copy of it to the management of Fonovisa in Mexico.

In 1995 I was the special guest at the international beauty pageant Señorita Hispanoamericana that was held in New Orleans. I was awarded the title Honorary Citizen by that city.

In 1996 I received an award as youth of the year by the magazine "Gente y Más", edited by the Daily newspaper "Tiempo". I also took fourth place that year in the National OTI Festival with an original song I wrote.

Throughout my career as a soloist, I have performed many concerts, in beauty pageants, and other special musical events.

I began receiving heavy radio airplay in 1996, with a promotional demo single of one of my songs, and maintained the top popularity ratings for several weeks.
