At the Juan Ramon Molina National Library in Tegucigalpa, Honduran writer Luis Roberto Castellanos formally presented his latest work, entitled “Símbolos y Personajes Históricos de Honduras” (Symbols and Historical Characters of Honduras).”
Thanks to the simplicity with which it is written, this is a readable book that presents the history of Honduras’ national symbols, and decrees that are part of citizenship that represent the soul of Honduras.
Its 140 pages are the result of extensive research by the author, who explains the origin and evolution of the shield, national bird and tree.
Mr. Castellanos hopes the book will facilitate the studies of children, youth and adults who want to know about our national symbols and illustrious people who have contributed to the culture of Honduras.
Ramses Editions has published the book, and it is available in bookstores.
