National Parks

The national parks in Honduras are fast becoming one of the world’s great eco-tourism destinations.  The most popular and visited national parks are: Pico Bonito, Punta Sal, Azul Meambar, Celaque, La Tigra and La Muralla.  Cuero y Salado is the most popular Wildlife Refuge, and the Cayos Cochinos and Sandy Bay / West End marine parks are the most popular in that category. Lancetilla Tropical Garden, in Tela, is also a very popular stop for those interested in easy hikes and tropical variety.
