English and Spanish spoken Warren Post, the owner, will hold mail and messages for travelers and is a good source of local information. El Rodeo. Santa Rosa’s best steaks in an informal atmosphere. Popular drinking spot for the locals. Check out the stuffed animals on the walls! Open daily for lunch and dinner from 11:30 till past 11:00 p.m. Located 1 ½ blocks south of the central park. Credit cards are accepted.

Flamingos. Considered by many as Santa Rosa de Copan’s finest restaurant. International menu in a newly remodeled environment. Open daily except Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. Located ½ a block south of Banco de Occidente. Credit cards are accepted. Full bar service.

Restaurante Well. Santa Rosa’s best Chinese restaurant offers excellent cuisine with generous portions. Try their won tons and the house specialty, “Arroz Well”. Located next door to llanticentro HH, two blocks south of downtown. Open for lunch and dinner.

Cyber Café Santa Rosa’s spot for the avid gambler! Video Poker and Slot Machines, located at the Dubon Building, across the street from the Multicolor Quiosk. Open Monday to Friday from 4:00 p.m. till midnight and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. till 1:00 a.m.

Las Haciendas. International and Honduran specialties in a relaxed atmosphere. Well stocked bar, with television often tuned to American sporting events. Best Cordon Bleu in town. Open for lunch and dinner. Located 1/2 block east of Casa Bueso.

Hotel Elvir Cafeteria Located at the Hotel Elvir, and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Best breakfast in town.

Restaurante Lilly’s Located on Calle Real Centenario, in a nice old colonial style home with a pleasant central patio and garden. Good French cuisine, reasonable prices and a fully stocked bar that also has a selection of Honduran cigars.

Mi Ranchito A very pleasant typical Honduran restaurant with a family atmosphere, offering one of the better views of Santa Rosa de Copan. Open daily from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. till 9:30 p.m. Great beef cuts at very reasonable prices, and a variety of selections to combine with your main dish. Located on 3rd Avenue, 4th Street, Barrio Mercedes, just ½ a block from Surtidora HYC.
