The players of the Honduras National Selection U-23 team played a very long game vs El Salvador tonight June 18th 2015. The first half of the game was dominated by the Salvadoran Sub23 / U-23 National Team. However the Honduran defense and goalie were able to prevent any scring against them. The second half was dominated by the Honduran National Team, however they were also unable to score. The game ended in a 0 – 0 tie at the Comayagua stadium. Both coaches were able to see the performance of their players and now know more about areas that need to be addrese prior to the start of the official soccer matches.

Pre-Game Analysis The soccer match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm local time at the Estadio Carlos Miranda of Comayagua.
This will be a test for head coach Pinto, prior to heading to the Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
The purpose of the game is for young players to tactically be defined within the field, some of them have had very few games, so this meeting will serve as a proving ground.
It is worth mentioning that Honduras will play against Guatemala and Belize, in August 2015.

Honduras forward Anthony Lozano scored and was expelled with a Red Card Penalty in the first half, as Honduras went on to defeat El Salvador 2-0 a friendly soccer match in Washington.
Lozano was at the centre of just about everything in the opening 38 minutes at RFK Stadium on Sunday, winning a penalty that led to Honduras gaining a 1-0 lead, scoring their second goal and then receiving a red card for appearing to hit an opponent in the face.
Despite the 22-year-old forward's expulsion, Honduras held on for victory in the first of their four friendlies ahead of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Honduras have been drawn with co-hosts United States, Panama and Haiti in Group A for the continental championships, which start on July 7, while El Salvador are in Group B with Costa Rica, Jamaica and co-hosts Canada.
El Salvador have one more friendly match before the tournament begins against Chile on Friday.
Mario Martinez gave Honduras the lead in the seventh minute, converting from close range after El Salvador goalkeeper Derby Carrillo saved his spot-kick - awarded when Lozano was upended in the box.
It was 2-0 in the 26th minute, with Lozano scoring in fortuitous circumstances.
Carrillo was left stranded when he dived to intercept Lozano's attempted cross - however the ball in was blocked, and the rebound fell to the Olimpia striker, who slotted the ball into the empty net.
After Lozano was sent off in the 38th minute, El Salvador dominated possession but failed to breach Honduras' defence.
Honduras face Paraguay, Brazil and Mexico before starting their Gold Cup campaign against USA.

This match will serve Coach Luis Suarez in a way that will allow him to make a final evaluation of the Honduras National Team prior to the upcoming qualifying match of the Concacaf Hexagonal with México in the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on September 6, a match which is vital to the aspirations of Honduras to consecutively qualify for a second World Cup in Brazil 2014.

Honduras will play El Salvador at six Friday evening in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Honduran Selección is competing in the Costa Rica National Stadium in their first game of the 2013 Central America Cup (also known as the UNCAF Copa Centro Americana). Other countries participating in the soccer competition are the host country of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Belize and Panama.
Winners of this Central America Cup (top five) will continue on to compete in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Honduras won the 2010 CONCACAF Gold Cup, and is the current reigning champion.
