Hondurans and foreigners who spent the last day of 2011 in Honduras, enjoyed the first day of 2012 on the beaches of Tela, Puerto Cortés, and others along the Atlantic coast. A radiant sun invited beach-goers to plunge into the clear sea waters.

Tour buses and private vehicles arrived very early at the Municipal Beach of Tela, where they remained until the early evening hours.

Mothers with their children and other family members, groups of friends, and newlyweds reached their goal to receive 2012 on the beaches of Honduras.

In municipality of Puerto Cortés, the majority of visitors came with their families, and settled in with their chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers, and stoves to heat food or roast meat, and entertained themselves throughout the day.
