Libny Rodrigo Ventura is from San Pedro Sula. He has a Degree in History, and was a professor at the Metropolitan University of Honduras and the Catholic University in Santa Rosa de Copan. Mr. Ventura has authored two books: “El lineaje de Lara en Honduras” and “Los Criptojudíos en Honduras”.
“El lineaje de Lara en Honduras” largely reflects the colonial history of western Honduras, particularly in the seventeenth century. At that time, the region was a political jurisdiction under the regime of the city of Gracias a Dios that today is known only as Gracias, Lempira.
The theme of “Los Criptojudíos en Honduras”, is based on the Jewish people who were expelled from Spain and established in various regions of the Spanish colonies; in this case, Central America, and specifically, western Honduras.
Libny Rodrigo Ventura is presently doing his doctoral studies at the University of Haifa in Israel.
