Today is “Dia del Nino” in Honduras (September 10, 2009). This is a day to celebrate the country’s young, and in a country where 50% of the population is under 18, that makes for a lot of celebrating.
Typically children will go to school, but not to learn on this day. This day is for presents, candies, races, balloons, games, prizes, and all out fun. The day is a celebration of children, to appreciate them and let them play.
