Guanaja is the least known of the Bay Islands, and perhaps the most lush. It has mountainous jungles, dense with tropical plants and pine trees. Guanaja also is the least inhabited bay island, allowing the opportunity to enjoy secluded beaches without another soul around. The caribbean waters of Guanaja are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Guanaja is also a scuba divers paradise, with untouched coral reefs, and miles of oceanlife to explore.
The Bay Island of Guanaja is remote. It has no roads, so transporation around the island will be by boat. In addition to the activities mentioned above, horseback riding is offered, and tours to one of the many waterfalls on the island.
If your desire is “to get away from it all”, Guanaja is the ideal vacation destination for you.
