GENERAL INFORMATION
Location: On a private, 15 acre island off the south shore of Roatan island, 8 miles from Roatan Airport.
Air Service: Lacsa offers service to Roatan from New York and New Orleans. Taca Airlines offers service to Roatan from Miami, Los Angeles, Houston and San Francisco.
Entry: A valid passport and return ticket is required for U.S.A., Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand citizens. There is a departure tax of US$11.00.
Currency: U.S. currency is accepted throughout the Bay Islands, although change will be in Honduras Lempiras. The exchange rate is approximately 13.50 Lempiras per 1 Dollar.
Resort Rooms: All rooms are beautifully furnished in tropical motif and feature tiled entrances, plush carpeting, air conditioning, ceiling fan, color TV, telephone, refrigerator, sitting area, and balcony with ocean view. All baths have tub and shower.
Amenities: There are 2 tennis courts, 3 bars with frequent live entertainment, and an elegant restaurant featuring the finest in continental and island cuisine. The well stocked boutique offers snacks, liquor, soft drinks, sundries, hand crafted jewelry, clothing and a variety of souvenirs. The Dolphin Room is a fully equipped conference facility accommodating 120 persons.
Diving: Some of the world's best diving is found only minutes from the resort. Over 50 dive sites, characterized by spectacular crevices and tunnels opening to breathtaking walls, offer excellent visibility, abundant fish and brilliant corals. Most sites are within 10-20 minutes, and good diving is accessible approximately 40 yards from the beach. There are PADI and SSI certified Divemasters. 4 dive boats with the capacity of 5 to 20 divers. The full service dive shop offers a large selection of equipment for rental. Resort courses and certification courses are available. There is a hyperbaric chamber on Roatan.
Watersports: A wide variety of boats and water "toys" are available for rental, including sail boats, windsurfers, jet skis, wave runners, wet bikes, kayaks, water-skiing, Boston Whalers, sea bikes and canoes.
