A group of recent college graduates from South Dakota are almost done with their mission to bike across 48 states to raise money for kids in Honduras.
46 states down and now they’re Rochester for a short break. Their sixth-month journey across the country is an effort to raise fund for educating orphans in Honduras.
They’re called the Great 48 and they’ve traveled nearly 10,000 miles for the cause.
The riders say they have learned a lot from this trip. They have experienced kindness from people across the country with families opening up their homes, giving them food and a place to stay.
So far they’ve raised $23,000 for their mission. They hope to finish next Friday after going through Iowa and Nebraska. See more about this story here.
