This private home is a 3 story, 4 bedroom, with 2 baths and an outdoor shower. It is completely furnished, and in a very private, remote location on the windward side of Roatan. The house is on 4 acres surrounded by trees and gardens, and situated on a peninsula with bay fronts on two sides.

The house is located high up on the property, in the trees with spectacular views of the surrounding reefs and mountains. There is a private swimming beach in front of the house, a man made beach on the protected waters of the bay, perfect for swimming day or night.The barrier reef for snorkling or diving is only 200 yds., or a one minute boat ride away. A full court basketball court for those who like to play is available on the bayside west of the house. Included is a 30' motor dory with full time captain/guide to travel to and from the nearby beaches and hiking areas.

The town of Oak Ridge is located nearby, with several rustic restaurants, and also available is a private car with a driver/guide to take you to other parts of the island, for a lower cost than renting your own car.

All full time employees are bilingual, although on Roatan, everyone speaks English. We have a one week tour and events schedule for those who like action. It that takes you up and down the entire Island with opportunities to swim with Dolphins, visit a local museum, check out the many fine restaurants, and take photos, as well as hike in the botanical gardens, ride on glass bottom boat, take a ride on a submarine, and visit local artisans and gift shops.

For those who really want to get away from it all, your best bet is to stay right at the Calabash Cabana. This is one of the very best locations to relax. Spend your time on the porches that surround the house and savor the tradewinds in a hammock while listening to your favorite CD's. We have a small library with some good selections, magazines, or you could always turn on the TV and catch CNN or some sporting events to keep up with what is going on in the" real world".

Just out the front door is a swimming pool for those who are too relaxed or lazy to walk down the steps to the private swimming beach.

This home has been considered one of the best in the area, and is truly a private getaway, hidden in the trees overlooking the sea.

The sleeping accommodations include: a room with a king size bed, a second room with a queen size bed, and the third floor balcony area with 2 full size beds, as well as a pool level room with a queen size bed and it's own bathroom and porch.

What is nice about this location is that it is on a private estate, so you are not in the mainstream of the tourist areas that can have lots of noise and people hustling about. Your privacy and safety are insured by our security staff on duty 24 hours a day. You'd never know they were there unless we told you, however, as they are dedicated to guaranteeing your complete privacy. It is only a short distance by boat or car to the mainstream areas if you choose to mingle, and our staff is there for you 24 hours a day, incase you decide that a visit to a local disco is a must.
